Hi my name is Shantel and I own The Huckleberry Hick! I am a mom of 4 and a Wife to an amazing husband.
To describe in one sentence my look or as I say “My Vibe” it would be if Don Williams collaborated with Def Leppard! Going through my closet is like the best mixed CD you ever made in the ‘90’s.

I WANT YOU TO FEEL FIERCE
have dabbled in clothing, switching up my look to my mood for years now! I got more adventurous with my outfits and realized how it boosted my confidence and the compliments I would receive made me feel amazing, and a person who FEELS amazing wants to make others feel that same way.... And so begun my adventure to The Huckleberry Hick! I want you to feel FIERCE in your outfit, realizing that something as simple as a “tee” could be dressed up or dressed down, all by switching up shoes or simple accessories!
Here is a little behind the scenes about me:
Growing up I was THE BIGGEST Tom Boy, the one who hung with the guys, the one who wasn’t happy unless she was outdoors and dirty!
The one who had no clue nor cared to do a lot of makeup or adventure out beyond a straightener for my hair! (Attached is a picture because i always get the “NUH UH” “NO WAY”when I tell people lol!)
Jeans and graphic tee’s filled majority of my closet while the other quarter Was filled with hoodies and sweatshirts!
I loved accessories and always had on the biggest hoop earrings and a choker necklace, To say the least I was far from fashionable! I remember looking at other girls and thinking “gosh I wish I could dress like that, but that ain’t me” or trying to step out of my “ordinary” and quickly changing because I felt so out of place. I lived in this shadow of fear of breaking out of my shell and trying new things. I thought I was as comfortable as I needed to be with myself, but as the years went by I stopped telling myself that I was super confident and started LIVING confident. Living life like I was holding a pair of Aces and 8’s, just like Wild Bill Hickok.
The more I grew into myself, the more I realized that it wasn’t the clothes, it was the confidence behind the clothes!
My “go to” hadn't change, it was Me looking In the mirror and loving everything that I seen instead of walking past that mirror.
Leaving My Sparkle Along the Way...
I realized that we are all made different; different shapes, different sizes, but at the end of the day it’s our feeling about our self that makes us feel complete, not others perception of us and what we should wear! I had to realize that instead of suppressing that Tom Boy that I had always been that it was time to embrace it! Rocking the shorts, boots and Oversized sweatshirt like I am Cinderella in the glass slippers at the ball! I am still that tom boy at heart, that animal loving, not afraid to get dirty, Luke Bryan song “huntin’ fishin’ and lovin everyday” country gal just searching for her next camping adventure with family and friends but leaving my sparkle along the way.
My goal with the Huckleberry Hick Is to help everyone find their sparkle with every day pieces. So as Doc Holliday in the infamous movie “Tombstone” says “I’ll be your Huckleberry”.
